Learning to live after child loss
and living to make a difference
one moment at a time...

Our Story

Listen close enough and God will tell you what to do with your suffering, guiding you in ways to bring purpose and beauty from it.

In 2017 our only child, Olivia, gained her wings by way of suicide at the age of 16.

Our world was shaken to its core.

Joyful Moments was formed from the love that was poured into our lives by so many during our time of greatest need.

The desire to comfort others and assist them in steps of healing has become a mission of love.

We strive to show compassion for other's struggles while letting them know their child will not be forgotten.

As difficult as it may be, I'd like for you to think for a brief moment about the amount of child loss we are exposed to daily. Whether it comes through news outlets, social media, or it finds it's way into our personal lives... it's devastating no matter the means and no matter the circumstances.

The loss of a child may be the worst trauma a human being can experience.  It's not something you ever "get over"... You  just learn how to survive.

The loss consumes every waking moment, you wish the world would just stop so that you could try and process what has happened, but it just doesn't work that way.

Milestones that are never passed,

Birthdays never celebrated,

Holidays never the same,

Graduation announcements never sent,

Weddings never planned...

A new existence without them that changes every aspect of  life.

These families are facing a new reality...

So when the last casserole has been delivered, where do they turn for support?

We want them to know that others have gone before them on this path and they do not ever have to walk it alone.

Healing is a shared journey and eventually sorrow and joy learn how to coexist.
